Belling Countrychef 100E Now Available

For those without two or three thousand pounds to spend on a Britannia range cooker, there is an unfortunate absence of 100cm wide all electric range cookers, with only one or two Leisure products at the lower end of the price-scale. We have been pointing this out to the manufacturers at every opportunity, and Belling have now addressed this by launching a new electric version of their well-established and popular Countrychef format, which joins the existing Countrychef 100DF and 100G.
Available in Silver or Anthracite, the Countrychef 100E looks every bit as elegant as its gas-hobbed counterparts (perhaps more so), and features a ceramic hotplate with five cooking zones and a warming zone. A fanned main oven and conventional second oven each feature Cookclean oven liners.
What we think: Manufacturers are increasingly reluctant to cater for what they see as very niche markets, resulting in them dropping formats that some unfortunate customers cannot do without. It is very good to see Belling taking the initiative and making a little more choice available for the many customers looking for an electric range in this width, but it would still be good to see some more.
