Mercury RC1090 Bohemia Colours

The Mercury RC1090 range cooker is an impressive and universally loved product, in no small part due to the Lincoln company’s creative use of colours. The doors on every RC1090 (except the perennial stainless steel model) are vitreous enamelled using a range of subtle and interesting shades, from the very natural to the more rich and vibrant. Joining the list of colours are the Bohemia range - Fig (vibrant, rich purple), Teal (bright gloss greeny blue), Ocean (bright metallic blue), Sorbet (dusky metallic pink) and Graphite, a gloss nearly-black. Graphite sits in between Black and Charcoal in Mercury’s spectrum of greys.

There are two casualties, however, and out go the rather lovely Mist - a particularly attractive misty blue, and Burntwood, a nutty dark brown. We will miss Mist, but anyone who shares our enthusiasm will find a pristine example in our Chester display centre. Both colours will be discontinued during February 2009.

The Mercury RC1090 not only looks stunning, the company’s professional heritage is built into every detail, including heavy-guage steel chassis and doors, and machine-turned control knobs. The heavy-duty roll-out grill is a particularly impressive feature.
